We work on a limited number of residential projects at any one time, allowing us to maintain close involvement and a high standard of delivery. Below is a selection of current and recent projects that reflect the scale and type of work we undertake.
Heritage House
A comprehensive renovation of a large Victorian property in Penarth, South Wales. Involving extensive structural works and a full fabric-first approach to upgrading the building’s performance. The project includes stripping the main house back to brick, complete floor removal and rebuild, breathable insulation strategies throughout, and a substantial rear kitchen extension. All delivered with full project management.

Breathable construction and heritage upgrades;
This project adopted a fabric-first, breathable approach throughout the original house. Works included full strip-back to brick, removal and rebuild of floors, and the use of traditional and natural materials to improve long-term performance while respecting the building’s Victorian fabric.
Breathable insulation and finishes were incorporated throughout, including limecrete floors, cork insulation and recycled glass insulation supplied by Ty-Mawr, ensuring the house remains vapour-permeable and well suited to its original construction.
Riverside - Modern Kitchen Extension
A contemporary extension to a modern property just outside Pontypridd, where the original kitchen and utility were reconfigured and extended to more than double the original footprint. The redesign creates a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting space, alongside a separate utility and WC, transforming how the home is used day to day.

Thomas Ivy Developments were appointed for the interior design of the extended space, shaping layout, finishes and key design decisions, with ongoing coordination alongside the main contractor to support delivery.
Westbourne Road
A comprehensive renovation of an Edwardian family home, in Penarth South Wales. Involving full reconfiguration and upgrade of the existing living spaces, bedrooms and two bathrooms. The project has focused on improving flow, functionality and character throughout the house, supported by coordinated design and delivery across all areas.
Detailed designs and technical planning have been completed for a future kitchen extension, which will form the next phase of works and further enhance the layout and performance of the home.
